Growing up, I was like every other kid. I liked to blare the radio and find myself every song, dance behind closed doors when no one was watching, and annoy my three big brothers every chance I could get. It wasn't until I was in high school when the feeling set in and I knew I was different. All my friends knew where they wanted to go to school, what they wanted to be when they grew up and heck. They already knew how many kids they were going to have and all of their names.
I didn't.
I loved to sing, I loved the feeling it gave me knowing that my words gave people encouragement. I loved to travel and meet new people and learn all about them. I went on my first mission trip to Haiti and oh. my. lord. I wanted to help people of all ages shapes and sizes. I wanted it all.
Have you ever had that feeling? You know, the one like there's something that keeps egging you on to keep going, but you don't know why? That feeling like you know you are meant to be a part of something big, but have no stinkin' idea what it is?
Yep, That was me.
Until about eight months ago.
Eight months ago, I opened a fortune cookie that told me new career opportunities were about to come my way. I ate that cookie with my fingers crossed.
Every single day, and for the rest of my life, I get to meet new people, encourage them to shoot for the stars, and help them become the best versions of themselves. I followed that uneasy little feeling and it made me who I am today. I am a Leader and an Inspirer. I get to be that "something" that eggs you on and keeps you going, because I know that everyone of all ages, shapes, and sizes, is meant to be a part of something big. Just like I was.
